Ginger Garlic Soup | Cough & Cold Remedy


Today's recipe is a healthy Ginger-Garlic Soup which is good for Cold & Cough as wells as immunity boosting.

This is a simple soup recipe you must try and it is made with ginger, garlic, and veg broth. It helps to provide relief from congestion, runny nose & sore throat during monsoon & winter season or when needed.

Ingredients

  1. Cooking oil - a tsp
  2. Ginger - an inch, finely chopped
  3. Garlic - 6 to 8 finely chopped
  4. Beans - 2 tbsp, finely chopped (optional)
  5. Carrot - 2 tbsp, finely chopped
  6. Water - 2 glass + 1/4 cup
  7. Corn flour - 1 tbsp
  8. Black pepper powder - 1/4 tsp
  9. Salt - to taste
  10. Coriander leaves - few, chopped

Direction

  1. Take a pan and add a tsp of cooking oil.
  2. Allow heating the cooking oil on a low flame.
  3. When the oil is hot enough, add an inch of finely chopped ginger and 8 finely chopped garlic.
  4. Sauté them for a minute.
  5. Add 2 tbsp of finely chopped beans and 2 tbsp of finely chopped carrot.
  6. Sauté them for 2 mins on a low flame.
  7. Add about 2 glasses of water and stir it well.
  8. Close the pan and boil it for about 2 to 3 minutes.
  9. Open the lid and keep boiling.
  10. Take a tbsp of cornflour in a bowl and add 1/4 cup of water.
  11. Mix them well and ensure no lumps.
  12. Pour this cornflour solution into the soup and mix it well.
  13. Add 1/4 tsp of black pepper powder and salt to taste.
  14. Give it a good mix.
  15. Keep stirring and boil for 2 to 3 mins, until little thicken the soup.
  16. Lastly, add a few chopped coriander leaves and give it a mix.
  17. That's it! Ginger Garlic Soup is ready to turn off the flame.
Serve this Ginger Garlic Soup hot.
